Electrocoagulation is an electro-chemical process that removes suspended, emulsified or dissolved contaminants from water using an electric flow of charge. It generates a direct flow of charge to free into the liquid the metal ions from sacrificial anodes that will remove undesirable contaminants, either by chemical reaction and precipitation or by causing the coalescing of colloidal materials that are then removed from clear water by electrolytic flotation.
An easy way to install compact modular equipment based on the same principles of electro-coagulation and electro-oxidation. VABEC units are extremely competitive in terms of CAPEX and OPEX. Additionally, operating costs reduction and efficiency are their main benefits, especially because replacing sacrificial electrodes is a simple and cheap process. The low operating costs and reduced sludge production make VABEC a great alternative to the traditional chemical solutions, particularly when it comes to the removal of hard molecules from industrial wastewater on Chemicals, Detergents, Textile, Automotive or on Shopping Malls.
DAF processes are a key feature in VentilAQUA’s catalog. We have developed a complete line of compact ready-to-use DAF systems, fully equipped, totally built-in polyethylene and polypropylene. This line is rather complete and includes all the necessary features, such as chemical dosing systems, flocculation reactor, saturation vessel, pH control, sludge scraping, sludge separation, compressor, among others.
Continuous operating wastewater treatment plant based on the precipitation flocculation principle combined with a DAF-based flotation system for water clarification on industries like Chemicals, Detergents, Automotive or Vegetable Processing. VAMEF includes all the chemical reaction components, such as chemical agents dosing units, automatic reaction pH control, and stirred reaction vessel. The flotation unit has all the standard components. VAMEF models come in two basic principles, circular flotation reactor, which carries a circular central engine scraping arm, and a more traditional shape, with a rectangular flotation chamber which carries a come-and-go chain scraping bridge, for the larger models, such as the R ones.
Dissolved OZONE Flotation process
Based on our deep knowledge and expertise on ozone benefits, reactions, and control, we developed the new VADOF system. This technology is an Ozone Dissolved flotation which couples all DAF advantages with ozone reaction. The system alone allows for huge cost reductions in the cleaning of highly contaminated effluents, in the removal of difficult recalcitrant molecules, and even in the separation of the final sludge with combined strong oxidation and water disinfection. VADOF units combine several operations in one single unit, strongly improving space requirements, operation and control, with all safety devices
The Coagulation/Flocculation Process is a physical-chemical process for wastewater treatment, which has been improved by our lamella VAMEC series and batch VAMED series systems. Both are pre-assembled on a compact structure that incorporates, in a very small footprint, all processes required for a full treatment operation.
Continuous operating chemical wastewater treatment unit that follows the precipitation flocculation principle combined with a settling device for water clarification, based on a lamella sedimentation process. The settled sludge is automatically discharged by a pneumatic actuated valve or pump, with time control. This completely chemical process comes all pre-assembled on a compact structure.
A discontinuous operating chemical wastewater treatment plant that follows the precipitation flocculation principle, combining it with a low-pressure bag filtration system for water clarification. The sludge produced on the reaction vessel is automatically discharged through a pneumatic pump into the low-pressure filter bag that retains the solids. Meanwhile, the clarified water is sent to a final activated carbon filter unit.
Sequencing Batch Reactors – SBR
VentilAQUA’s SmartSBR© technology is a high-performance wastewater treatment solution that combines the advantages of batch and continuous flow approaches, allowing the completion of all treatment phases, successively, within the same tank. It is compliant with the most stringent discharge standards, providing consistent performance despite any flow variations.
Moreover, SmartSBR© gives you the tools to vary the operating strategy, allowing you to achieve aerobic, anaerobic or anoxic conditions to encourage the growth of desirable micro-organisms. Also, this high-quality product generates minimal operating costs and is easy to maintain and modify.
Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor – MBBR
MBBR is a technology-based on a plastic carrier media with a large specific surface area, thus providing an optimal attachment surface for biofilm fixing. The movement of the media allows for the regulation of biomass accumulation and enables a balanced distribution between loading and oxygenation into the biomass. This results in MBBR providing a greater treatment capacity within less footprint when compared with traditional solutions. Last but not least, MBBR technology can easily accommodate rapid increases in loading or flows, roughing highly-variable BOD levels at industrial sites.
Membrane Bioreactor – MBR
Membrane bioreactors combine conventional activated sludge treatment with a membrane liquid-solid separation process, thereby eliminating both the cost and space requirements of secondary clarification, aeration, and filtration. Due to the membrane separation, the active micro-organism population in the bioreactor can be maintained at a concentration 4-5 times higher than in traditional systems. This results in bioreactor tank volumes of only 20-25% the size of traditional ones. Besides, the ultra-filtration membranes withhold all micro-organisms and most suspended solids, resulting in a clear and highly purified effluent that can be reused for many different purposes. Finally, our solutions meet the most stringent discharge quality standards and feature sophisticated controls and advanced telemetry for continuous monitoring.
VentilAQUA has developed extremely compact lamella settlers, built out of plastic materials and/or stainless steel with very efficient decanting areas.
The EFC Electrostatic oil cleaning system and the floating tube oil skimmers are two very efficient solutions to solve oil problems. The first removes dirt particles, oxidation products, water, and other contamination from non-conductive liquids such as hydraulic oil or transformer oil, reducing oil consumption and improving machine precision. The floating tube oil skimmers are a simple, fast and reliable system for the removal of floating oil and fat from water, with extremely higher efficiency when compared to other solutions.
